About PROGRAM® Flavor Tabs® and PROGRAM® Suspension

PROGRAM® (lufenuron) Flavor Tabs® and PROGRAM® Suspension

The fleas on your cat are in the adult stage. An adult female flea, living on a pet, can lay up to 2,000 eggs in her lifetime. But PROGRAM Flavor Tabs and PROGRAM Suspension prevent flea eggs and larvae from developing. This breaks the flea life cycle at its base, and effectively controls the flea population.

How PROGRAM Flavor Tabs and PROGRAM Suspension Work

PROGRAM Flavor Tabs and PROGRAM Suspension are available for monthly oral dosing at home. Both products contain lufenuron, an insect development inhibitor that prevents the development of immature stages of the flea, and also controls fleas from reinfesting your cat.

PROGRAM Flavor Tabs and PROGRAM Suspension have been demonstrated safe with more than 250 million doses administered worldwide and over eight years of use.

In a three-year study, conducted in real homes with real pet owners, lufenuron, the active ingredient in PROGRAM Flavor Tabs and PROGRAM Suspension, was shown to be 100% effective in preventing flea populations.*

How to Use PROGRAM Flavor Tabs

Flea populations are more prevalent in the spring when cold temperatures turn warmer, making it a more hospitable climate for parasites. You are more apt to encounter fleas in warm, humid areas. However, because weather patterns are always variable and unpredictable, it is important to use PROGRAM Flavor Tabs all year round. Research shows that 100% of pet owners who use PROGRAM Flavor Tabs year-round are satisfied. Give PROGRAM Flavor Tabs once a month. Always give PROGRAM Flavor Tabs with a meal to ensure proper absorption. You can crush the tablet and mix it with wet food, or ask your veterinarian how to give your cat the pill directly. Make sure all pets in your home are protected against fleas.

How to Use PROGRAM Suspension

Open the pouch of PROGRAM Suspension, squeeze it into your cat's dish, and mix it with just two tablespoons of wet food. Make it a treat by using a wet food your cat really likes. After your cat has eaten its treat with PROGRAM Suspension, follow it with a regular meal to ensure proper absorption. Here are some suggestions that have worked well for other cat owners:

  • Tuna oil
  • Whipped cream
  • Canned cat food
  • Clam juice
  • Deviled ham
  • Sardine oil
  • Tuna water
  • Brown gravy
  • Chicken broth
